GIS TRACKING & LOCATION BASED SERVICES
Our gadgets use Geographic Information System (GIS) tracking to help understand how we can assist our users in situations they feel dangerous or unsafe. GIS tracking uses data that is attached to a unique location. Privando has been working side-by-side with Law Enforcement and Government Officials around the globe to support agencies in further investigations, court cases, and strategies within criminal justice systems.

MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS
Privando Research uses past case histories in order to classify the most probable suspects within a crime case. Understanding the movements and patterns of the perpetrator with machine learning algorithms, can predict the crime before they potentially occur.

WIRELESS EMERGENCY ALERTS & TARGETED RADIO BROADCASTS
Our gadgets have Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) enabled to notify citizens within specific regions of which individuals are possibly in danger and may need assistance at the scene. Privando gadgets include captures of output devices that may be used as a purpose for evidence. Users may have emergency contacts pre-installed, which will allow for communications between higher authorities and notifications sent to their loved ones.

OUR STORY
A message from our CEO & Founder Jeeva Senthilnathan
As someone from India, it pains me to see that my home country is the most dangerous country for women. Rape cases are often displayed in the news; however, several incidents are unknown, so there are many more victims than what statistics show. Innocent girls who want to succeed in life purely want to make their way safely home from school or work so that they can continue putting in their best efforts to help their family. Unfortunately, people with the wrong intentions prey on these individuals.

Privando was born after inspiration from emergency blue lights boxes used on university campuses to create a gadget-designed device to create a network for women to receive assistance in life-threatening situations and communicate in spaces they feel/are unsafe in. We mobilized young women in India from village huts to city slums to build a coalition that would not only fight against these incidents, but also create a private network for victims to heal.
OUR VISION
Families in India shouldn’t have to live with the fear of wondering who captured their mother, sister, or daughter or if she is alive when running a few minutes late in coming home. All crime is terrible, but rape in India is on an extreme level because they target young women who don’t understand the concept of this, due to the oppression from living in a patriarchal society. Instead of just teaching girls on how to be safe, we should change how predators think and view children before they become criminals. Privando envisions a world where all women can freely walk the streets without constant worry, a world where they can join sports teams, pursue education, music, and arts within schools, and walk into the markets or institutions to create/innovate.
OUR 3 KEY FOCUS REGIONS
Privando focuses on education in schools, location-based services with GIS tech tracking systems, and legislation within the Government of India to resolve many of the sexual abuse and harassment against women. We focus on user empathy and are developing into a profitable business fighting gender inequality with an all-female led company.
